Along with the 9th<\/sup> International Conference on Seismology and Earthquake Engineering (SEE9), the professional workshop on Earthquake Preparedness for Children with Disabilities was held on May 8, 2024 in Milad Tower Conference Hall, Tehran. In this meeting, the representatives of UNESCO, UNICEF, Social Welfare Organization (SWO), Exceptional Children Education Organization (CSDEO), Youth Organization of Red Crescent Society (RCS) and relevant NGOs actively participated and shared their experiences on the challenges of protecting children with disabilities during and after earthquakes. In addition, the results of the activities carried out by the RCECWA in this regards was presented and discussed. At end of the workshop, it was agreed to make a special committee by presence of all relevant organizations to promote the culture of safety for this group of society and planning for organizing earthquake preparedness practices in pilot schools by end of this year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
